What price should I expect for my vehicle?
Under the Trade Assist scheme, we are normally able to achieve a selling price of 5% above that offered by car dealers or during trade-in. In some cases, we have even achieved 10% above what the market offers.

How does the Trade-in at new car dealership work
If the price that you are looking for is reasonable, a suitable buyer should be found within a week. The documentation and transfer process should take only a few days for us to complete.

Why do I not sell the car myself and save on the transactional cost I have to pay Trade Assist?
By trying to sell by yourself, you would have to face the hassle of trips to the LTA, and banks. Besides that, you and the buyer would most likely not have the appropriate documentation as it is a private sale. Fraud might occur. The securing of loans for the buyer is also not a simple process, and rejection of applications is commonplace unless you have the right professional to assist you.
Trade Assist Pte Ltd specializes in helping car owners transact with direct buyers. Under the Trade Assist scheme, we offer various conveniences for both buyers and sellers alike. All documentation will be done by us. We are also able to tap on the vast network of our experienced sales personnel. Free advertisements and marketing of your vehicle will also be provided by Trade Assist. In the case no sale is done, you do not have to pay anything.
Therefore, there is nothing to lose.

Will i be unable to sell off my car with Trade Assist?
There will be buyers for your car no matter the model or condition. The only deciding factor will be the price. There maybe cases whereby there are no direct buyers that matches the ideal price for your vehicle. In such cases, we will then tap on our network of over 100 used car dealers and exporters to get the best quotation for your vehicle.

How does the Trade-in at new car dealership work
When you want to purchase a new car, and sell off your existing car, your existing car will be termed as a trade-in car.
When you approach a sales executive at most new car dealership and ask about your trade-in price of your vehicle, they will call a few used car dealers and get you a quotation for it. This is NOT a free service. The used car dealer will typically have to pay a commission of $300 onwards to the sales executive for every successful transaction. This amount naturally comes off the amount they offer for your car.
Besides that, some new car dealerships charge a monthly fee to used car dealers who wish to buy in trade-in cars through them. Again, this fee will come off the amount offered for your trade-in vehicle. The used car dealer is also not a direct buyer and, therefore has to offer you a price that is low enough such that he can make a profit.
With so many tiers of middlemen at work during trade-in at the new car dealerships, you can therefore expect to get a price below market value for your trade-in vehicle there.

Why do I not just trade-in my car for a brand new car?
You can also do that. However, through Trade Assist, we can help you get a better price for your used car while waiting for the arrival of your new car. If we do not sell the car by the time your new car arrives, we can still find dealers to take in the car at the trade-in price offered to you previously. So basically, you are in a win-win situation.

Do I have to leave my vehicle behind and not get to use it?
You may choose to leave your vehicle at our showroom for display, or choose not to do so. If you do not leave your vehicle at our showroom, we will arrange for appointments with interested buyers to view your vehicle.

What are the benefits if I leave my car for sale at the showroom?
By leaving your vehicle in our showroom, it would be much more convenient for interested buyers to view the car. The chances of closing the sale at the desired price will also be higher. Our showroom is located in Automobile Megamart, which is the largest used car centre in Singapore with plenty of walk-in customers. The physical presence of your car will increase the interest in it.

How will my car be taken care of in the showroom?

Your vehicle will be groomed and taken care of by our staff and placed under 24hrs camera surveillance. Test drives will only be conducted with your approval. We will be fully responsible for any damages to your car while in our care. However, Trade Assist will not be responsible for any mechanical faults with the vehicle after purchase.

What if I can find my own buyer for my car?
In the case that you can find a buyer for your car through your own contact network, you can wait for our 2 week agreement to end before transferring your car to the buyer. There will be no charges this way. Alternatively, we can perform all the transactional procedures (transfer, finance and insurance) for you and the buyer for an administrative charge of $250.

What is the procedure if a buyer who can match my price is found?
When a buyer who can match your asking price is found, we will inform you and collect a deposit from the buyer. The transfer will be effected at the agreed date. All the documentation will be handled by us and ensured to be hassle-free.

What do I do if my car has many small dents and scratches, and does not look presentable for sale?

If your vehicle has some minor flaws, you can choose to send it to our appointed workshop for repairs before the sale. Alternatively, you may choose not to do anything about it. In this case, the asking price will have to be lower.

I just renewed my insurance and road tax for my existing car. Will I get a refund?
Once you get a buyer for your vehicle, you can terminate your insurance for the buyer to take over from there. However, the road tax will not be refunded and should be factored into the selling price.
